Many years ago, I came to the realization that website work is long and tedius. I used to run a news website in New York – a political news website that needed updating throughout the day – and, at times, it seemed I was tied to the desk. Even though I used Microsoft’s “FrontPage” program, it was still obnoxious and annoying having to write stories, edit them, upload them, and then figure out where the bugs were on the page and then going back to fix the bugs.

So, I know at times it seems as though the St. Matthew’s website is taking a long time – but we don’t want to put up garbage, now! We have a dedicated webstaff of one — Dean Bigbee — who, outside of working on a church website, has a real life full of real life things to do. He is working hard and in the near term, the fruits of his work will be realized.

On the other hand, you have me: the pastor of Saint Matthew’s in New Milford, New Jersey. I have this blog-addiction. Nearly everyone has one…and I feel as though I read most of them! Blogs provide a wonderful opportunity for communication of ideas and issues and allow for people to vent.

My intention for this blog is to teach about our Lord Jesus Christ, about our church locally and our church catholic, and to provide a forum for understanding why we, as children of God redeemed by the blood of Christ, put our trust in Him who saved rather than on us who fell away.

God’s blessings to all and welcome … the water’s fine!!
