OK – my summer blogging downtime is complete. When I flipped the calendar this morning to September, the reality summer has unofficially ended smacked me in the head. During August, I spent less time blogging and more time doing the job of pastor – something that I needed to accomplish.

Not that blogging isn’t part of the work of the pastoral office of 2009.

Communication is a central part of what a pastor does and at times, there is a need to recharge these batteries. That is what I was trying to accomplish during my summertime blogging swoon.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been structuring a more effective communications strategy for Saint Matthew’s and. in equal importance, myself. While it is not complete, the framework is in place. Of course, blogging here and over at my private site is part of this strategy.

Now, it is time to get to work (Morning Prayer is in a half hour).
